As more customers have tried the GT-Command many new ideas how to use the features in the products have been provided. Here are just a few: - Use the automation part when you turn on / start your layout. Write a little automation sequence that allows turning on off / turn on all the sounds and lights. set your initial routes and have a safe and pleasant start. Easy to make and a great help. - And accordingly if you end up having too many sounds and other functions, turn them all off in one sequence. Silence is also nice. - Loco names can be used from any word. From release 2.0 we will also support combined names with numbers. Please select names which distance themselves somewhat from other by the sound. And use names with some sound volume. Long names are fine. The same counts for the figures for the switches and signals. Numbers from one to eight are usually easily recognizable while nine often is snapped off. - You will immediately try to automate and synchronize trains using the automation. If you have no feed back modules please apply the fist 8/16 port module before the station. GT-Automation does not need so many feed back modules due to the build in timer where you easily can program your train to stop elegantly. We recommend S88 modules in stead of contact rails, it is more safe. - Once you get hit by the games you would try again and again to get the best score. The games are well developed and in any game there are rules which may be exploited to the extreme. If you have to drive too fast to achieve the task, please remember that few passengers give a smaller fine than many.

See the enclosed PDF with a two train shuttle control example. It can be done a lot more detailed, more virtual blocks can be inserted, more stepwise accelerations, more security control, more sounds, etc.. However, it can also be done quicker or more aggressive - - it is all up to you and your temper.

1) The fastest way to connect the Digital Central is through your home router. Connect your PC and your DC to the router, and check that your DC has DHCP field checked. Choose auto search in the set-up for the Märklin or the ESU controller. Be a bit patient until the search finds the IP and connects automatically - showing green ready mode. 2) If done once GT-Command will connect automatically each time you start up, if the DC/ESU is truned on. This is a very nice feature - you see it in the main windows in the bottom. 3) You might have several locos and turnouts already on your DC/ESU. Do not edit them all again in GT-Command. Use "Game" and "Monitor", check "Log all Activities" and "Automatic Learning" , then you get all your units and locos automatically set up in GT-Command. You just need to select names and other explanations yourself. 4) Some time you can not find a lok or a unit. Address might be wrong or the controllers is running on a virtuel address. You get it into GT-command just driving it manually, and at the same time select "Game", and "Monitor". If you the look at the Monitor window you will see the lok with actual address listed under Who/What with an L in front. Now you can insert it automatically or manually in GT-Command in the Loco table and start calling on the loco. 5) Does the Mike function?, Check that the " Mik onl" field is green, may be press F2 some times, or if it is yellow say "Mike on" in the Michrophone. If it still does not work the Windows has not really connected the michrophone. You must go to control panel and make a set-up under sound.

Even the simplest thing on an automated layout requires some training. In the enclosed document we have shown how to voice control and automate a main track with a stop track, a switch, and a feed back module. If you do not want to automate right away you can wait with the feed back module.
