Gamesontrack® Monitor (GT-Monitor)

Gamesontrack® Monitor (GT-Monitor) - a free basis

GT-monitor is the free component of GT-Command. It monitors your data, takes care of faultfinding, and it keeps you live until you might buy a real license. GT-Monitor is the left over from a GT-Command testlicense period.
Get a free 30 days test license to GT-Command here from our web-shop:Web-shop

Monitor makes it easy to get trains, points, blocks, etc. registered in a simple table-based system. You connect your digital controller to the PC and then you just start driving and activating your accessories. GT-Monitor collects all the data and stores them in the various tables.

GT-Monitor is easy to set up and you are running within one hour. A user test showed more than 50 turnouts to be collected and named within 5 minutes on a large layout. Your job is to ad your names, extend with texts and explanations, and if required adjust special accessories such as turntables, etc.

GT-monitor, GT-Command and GT-Automation are all part of the GT-Command product. As soon as you have built something you can start using GT-Monitor. You do not need to wait for everything to fall in place. Some of the features are:

-> Through the monitor table you can monitor, filter and sort all actions happening on your layout. You can find out whether things shift correctly, for how long time you are idle and which areas you do not use. All registrations are done per second.
-> You can choose to operate speed using traditional steps such as 0:28 or 0:127, or you can calibrate your trains to run km/h, miles/h or cm/s.
-> Most users want an intensive operation and a maximum exploitation of the layout.  GT-Monitor has a feature to monitor your activities and your intensity, and you can create small tasks which can be logged by the Activity monitor.
-> All documentations can be used by GT-Command and GT-Automation. When you wish to use voice control, all your names will be validated in relation to the speech word book.
-> GT-Monitor saves all logs and system descriptions, so they can be found easily and replayed. You can have many descriptions, but only operate one at a time. This is an advantage if you rearrange your layout.
GT-Monitor is free of charge. GT-Monitor runs on a normal Windows PC under Windows XP and Vista, W7, and W8 and on Mac with Parallels.

In return for the free program we ask for your name, address, e-mail etc. We hope you will contribute with feedback so we can improve GamesOnTrack.

Voice Control
In cell phones voice control has been an option for some time, however very few people use it. The problem is that the model assumes you as a user to train the phone and learn the device your way of speaking. And you forget how you trained the phone, thus is does not work after a while again.
Gamesontrack is different. We use already spoken standard libraries created by 1000-4000 people from most parts of the country.

Find the bug
For any model train enthusiasts wiring and cabling under the layout is a major challenge. Countless are the wire bundles, which from time to time have be scrapped when the layout is built on. And countless are the error searches where a problem must be found among a jungle of wires, where the color, the bundling, or the mark up is not up-to-date. But the worst is probably that many enthusiasts and many young people think it is too cumbersome, and therefore throws himself over the alternatives.

How to automate
There are many ways to do automisation of a model railway layout. The traditional method deals with doing all the security stuff as a copy of the real railway. That means putting a lot of electronics under the tracks for how to adjust points, turnouts, occupation of blocks etc. Gamesontrack introduces a somewhat different method with focus on easiness and simplicity in order to get as much as possible to operate in a controlled way.
