Model Railroad without wires

Two wires only
With GamesOnTrack GT-Position you can build your model railroad layout with only two wire for track currency. The video below shows our exhibition layout with wires for traction only. The switches have built-in decoders, all feedback and signals are operated by GT-positioning systems, and automation and control is handled by GT-Command. The layout contains a main layout and a fiddle yard.
2 wires!.

The rails are just put together, no separation or insulation and the layout is built in short time. Trains are equipped with the GT-Position (in the loco or on the wagon) and the receivers are in the corners of the fiddle yard or above the layout at the main. The automation fits 8 trains with 4 trains on normal block control on the main, and another 4 trains running up an down from the fiddle yard. And it includes trains shift down under. Both block control and automatic selection of the free tracks at the fiddle yard are included. All signal positions are shown on the screen display. About 25 blocks all in all.

See the videos, or read more about the options available with the GT-Command and GT-Position in the many other quick guides in the menu to the left. The first video shows the 2-layer layout, the second video shows the same layout also controlling Faller cars.

V 4.0 of GT-Position and GT-Command has been widely enhanced

• Version 4.0 has complete new graphics with 3 D drawing and nice overview of both trains and cars in the same view . All cars and trains work with predicted positions as well as measured positions. It means that all vehicles can drive in tunnels or mountains and still operate using the automations. There is a new monitoring of automations giving a good overview of what automatic control are running in the moment and at what stage. You can change automations on the fly – direcly in the monitoring window.
• When a vehicle draws the layout, - both streets and tracks using different vehicles per type - you only need to overrun them one time. As a user your job is to decide and insert what turnouts and signals you want at any point while the drawing has identified where the potential turnouts can be. All device symbols snap to the track or street, and then the predict-algorithm will know which color a signal ahead might have, and it can brake accordingly.
•The manual Edit Process has become much simpler and a lot quicker as before in version 3.6. And on top of that you have access to a complete 3D editing environment if you need to.
• Our Mobile solutions works as it used to, the connection is also somewhat easier as the V 4.0 displays constantly how to connect the Android og iOS app. It works for both Faller cars as well as trains.
• If you want to coordinate cars and trains in crossing, by stations or exchanging passengers and goods you will be pleased to see that you use the very same automation for all type of vehicles.
• The new block editing environment allows you to create a section/block by just clicking on two points on the street/track. The system will draw a narrow section/block along the track after which you can name and qualify it directly - you do not need to declare the block in advance.
• The 4.0 solution has full support for the new direct radio solution, when trains operate using GT-Xcontrol and GT-Xconnect without any DCC-controller.

Voice Control
In cell phones voice control has been an option for some time, however very few people use it. The problem is that the model assumes you as a user to train the phone and learn the device your way of speaking. And you forget how you trained the phone, thus is does not work after a while again.
Gamesontrack is different. We use already spoken standard libraries created by 1000-4000 people from most parts of the country.

Find the bug
For any model train enthusiasts wiring and cabling under the layout is a major challenge. Countless are the wire bundles, which from time to time have be scrapped when the layout is built on. And countless are the error searches where a problem must be found among a jungle of wires, where the color, the bundling, or the mark up is not up-to-date. But the worst is probably that many enthusiasts and many young people think it is too cumbersome, and therefore throws himself over the alternatives.

How to automate
There are many ways to do automisation of a model railway layout. The traditional method deals with doing all the security stuff as a copy of the real railway. That means putting a lot of electronics under the tracks for how to adjust points, turnouts, occupation of blocks etc. Gamesontrack introduces a somewhat different method with focus on easiness and simplicity in order to get as much as possible to operate in a controlled way.
